Who we are

Capital Citizenship is a brand of Vesper Limited, Suite 901, Hing Yip Commercial Centre, 272-284 Des Voeux Road Central, Hong Kong. Vesper Limited is the data controller for personal information collected through capitalcitizenship.com.

What we collect

  • Enquiries: when you use the Work with us form, your name, email address, country of residence, who introduced you (if you tell us), your message, and whether you asked to receive our notes, with the time of that choice.
  • Newsletter: your email address and your subscription status.
  • Analytics and cookies: pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser information, collected through Google Analytics only if you accept analytics cookies. See our Cookie Policy.
  • Technical data such as IP address and request logs, kept by our hosting providers for security.

Why we use it and our lawful basis

  • To read and reply to your enquiry, and to take steps at your request before any engagement (pre-contract steps, or our legitimate interest in responding).
  • To send occasional notes, only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
  • To understand how the site is used, only with your consent to analytics cookies.
  • To keep the site and our records secure and to prevent abuse (legitimate interests).
  • To meet legal and regulatory obligations where they apply.

Who processes it

We share personal information only with the service providers below, who process it on our behalf, and never sell it.

  • Lovable and Supabase: website hosting and the database that stores enquiries.
  • Google Workspace and Google Sheets: handling and responding to enquiries.
  • beehiiv: sending our newsletter and managing subscriptions.
  • Google Analytics: site analytics, only if you consent.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

International transfers

Our providers may store or process information outside the country where you live, including in the United States, the European Union and Hong Kong. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent protections.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries: 24 months from your last contact with us, unless we enter into an engagement, in which case our engagement terms apply.
  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
  • Analytics: according to the retention settings of Google Analytics, no longer than 14 months.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under the GDPR, the UK GDPR and the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, you may ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing. Write to q@vesper.vc and we will respond within the time the law requires.

You may also complain to a supervisory authority, such as your local data protection authority in the EU, the UK Information Commissioner's Office, or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data in Hong Kong.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted connections and restricted access to enquiries. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
